Chiapas has two major airports that serve the region. These are:
Ángel Albino Corzo International Airport: This is located in Tuxtla Gutiérrez and is the main airport of Chiapas. It is named after a local politician who was assassinated in the 1990s. The airport has a single runway and serves both domestic and international flights. It has facilities such as restaurants, shops, and car rental services.
San Cristóbal de las Casas National Airport: Located in the city of San Cristóbal de las Casas, this airport serves mainly domestic flights. It has a single runway and offers basic amenities such as a waiting area and a snack bar.
Both of these airports provide convenient access to Chiapas' popular tourist destinations such as Palenque, San Cristóbal de las Casas, and Sumidero Canyon. Visitors can also easily reach nearby states such as Oaxaca and Veracruz from these airports.
